By now I should know better than to fly from Newark on a Friday evening, but it was the best option for this weekend’s trip. This Friday was unfortunately a craptastic weather/traffic day. I knew Flight 2899 was delayed until at least 10pm so wasn’t too stressed when I didn’t make it to the airport itself until 7pm. It was my first time parking in the economy lots but found the shuttle easy and convenient. I’m sure I’m committing heresy by saying this as a New Yorker, but I really dislike the NYC Subway system. Not for the usual reasons you hear: dirtiness, safety, etc. I don’t think either of those are nearly as bad as the media makes them out to be.
