30 year-old wanderer. Yes, this used to be my travel blog. I don’t see dieting as all that much different to travelling. Just a journey to a different place. Goal.
March 2010
I get on the scale on Thursday, March 4 deciding to finally face the music after a move, awful eating and the holidays. The number was actually better than what I expected. However the following Sunday I was feeling awful. My back hurt, my hands and feet were swollen and I’d drank a two-liter bottle of diet soda. I got back on the “scale” (my Wii fit, which was my scale until I bought a real scale at the end of August) and I’d “gained” 5 lbs. I’m glad I didn’t know about water weight then as I’d likely have written it off and moved on in the wrong direction.
The new scale number was horrible and I thought back to my past summers of swollen feet and decided I didn’t want that any more. Monday and Tuesday, I did wii fit and debated what I wanted to do about eating. I contemplated Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig before my thinking came to Weight Watchers. I remember my mom weighing cereal on a pull-down scale in the 80s and I realized how well WW had worked for her. I’d tried to do WW half-assed before and I decided to give it a three-month go. Immediately after joining WW I went on vacation to Fort Lauderdale and when I went to use the hotel gym I realized I missed the gym. I continued to do Wii fit when I got home but it didn’t feel like a workout. I joined Boom Fitness at the end of March and by July actually had enough visits to get my Oxford reimbursement. Wow.
September 2010
At my September 4, 2010 WI and meeting I hit 51.7 lbs gone. WOW. I cannot believe what I have accomplished in the last six months. I have a lot further to go, but this is by-far the lowest weight I can remember being at since I was 19 and much lower than any other time since I graduated college.
In the event I don’t figure out how to add and back date the earlier posts, my WW blog is here.
ETA: Most imported. I did not import those that were just picture vanity. I have enough of those. I’m also aware that those with my AP/WP chart do not read well. I’m looking into how to fix those.
