Prague: January 2003

Yes, I realise most people won't have the above font, but I have it and like it, so there :p And it's my website. It's Old English Text MT, if you really want it. It's illegible for most writing, but it just fit for the title. In short, Prague is beautiful. If you want the long version, go read my journal which has the details of the trip. As with the photos from Spain, these are smaller than normal because I'm transferring everything via 3 1/2 inch floppy. However unlike Spain, this page will have thumbnails. I will update this as I can, probably more often once I get settled somewhere that has (hopefully) internet access.

Katedrala sv. Vita, or Cathedral of St. Vitus, on the grounds of Prazsky Hrad (Prague Castle).

A church at Namesti Miru. I don't know the name of the church, nor do I know what Namesti Miru means. Namesti means square, maybe Miru means church? Edit:Miru means peace, it's Peace Quare

Narodni Muzeum, the National Museum at the head of Vaclavske Namesti. I haven't been in it, but the building looks cool.

Prazsky Hrad, the castle, looking up from Mala Strana. Yep, that's the cathedral as well.

Looking down from Prazsky Hrad across the Vlatva River to Starometske Namesti, the old towne square. In some ways this reminds me very much of Plaza Mayor in Madrid.

This tells you all you need to know about why Prague had problems with flooding. All these river crossings remind me a lot of the bridges over the Thames--and this pic reminds me eerily of one I took from the London Eye.
