what a difference a year makes
I was thinking a lot today about why I’ve been struggling since September. Well maybe struggling isn’t the word, but losing focus. I’m still basically where I was in September but there has been a lot of up and down and a lot of crap food choices causing the ups in that up and down . Where on earth is the focus and commitment I had from March to September? And what can I do to get it back?

Yeah, that’s high loss in one week, but it was basically last week’s water gain on WI eve. Even with all the scale’s nonsense in the last 4-6 weeks I’m averaging 1.7/week since March and am very happy with that.
Oddly enough, I didn’t plan to WI this week. I knew I’d be going home and didn’t think it was likely I’d get to WI on Friday. Didn’t want to weight in today because of last night’s dinner plans. Scale games, me? NE-VER. Just hate seeing an artificially inflated number due to one meal. . . . → Keep Going: 4.8 in the right direction

When I first joined Weight Watchers I was curious how they set mini goals as percentages. I shouldn’t say I like absolutes as I still haven’t set a goal, but I really don’t like %s. They don’t mean as much to me when I have to do the math. I guess I prefer to think in decades. Still, I decided tonight to think about the percentages. I had no idea how close I was to 25% until I did the . . . → Keep Going: It’s all about the percentages

I think I’ve been mentally writing this blog post since yesterday’s WI, or even from Thursday when I sensed that I just might hit 50 lbs down this week. I still cannot believe I did it. 50 lbs lost in a hair less than six months. For some time, one of my mini-goals had been to lose 50 lbs before my trip to Indy for Manning Bowl later this month. Since I made my previous mini-goal of being considered not obese in July, it was my “next” goal. With my gain over vacation it was in . . . → Keep Going: It’s not before and after, it’s before and during
By Cari, on July 16th, 2010% HOLY CARP, I’m in the 160s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At 167.8 I’m closer to my “goal” (140) than I am to where I started (209) and I’m officially not obese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, little excited here
I had no expectations for this week because it was pretty bad. I tracked it all, but there were: a 52.5 point day (technically last week but the scale doesn’t magically know that), a 42 point day and a 36 point day. Don’t regret a bite of either the 52 or 42 point days (guacamole, pork belly sliders) but the 36 point day was stupid munchies. I was . . . → Keep Going: I’m NOT OBESE
By Cari, on May 4th, 2010% I CANNOT believe I’ve lost 25 lbs on WW. I lost a chunk of weight my freshman year in college but I don’t remember what the number was. Know I’m not down as low as I was then because I was wearing a size 10. More on that weight loss in another post.
and this time in a good way. I had no business losing 3.2 this week. It’s TOM, among other things. If nothing else, it proves that my chart (updated below) shows that whether or not I eat my weeklies has no bearing on my weight loss. I’m . . . → Keep Going: I don’t understand the scale
By Cari, on April 27th, 2010% original post WOW what a week!
As of this morning I’m down 3.9 lbs, which brings my overall total to 21.9 lbs in 7 weeks. I hit my 10% almost exactly a month after I got my 5%. I’m not yet sure what my next mini goal is.
The chart is updated below, but I really don’t think this was because I ate all my weeklies and dipped into my APs. I think it’s more a case of a) more activity this week and b) sodium awareness thanks to Tiggertiffin87, kaskinger and sydney 321 in this post.
Eating wise, this . . . → Keep Going: 3.9, 20+, 10%
