Erica, you know that’s a question that I’ve found impossible to answer because I like places for different reasons. It’s almost impossible to top Europe for history, but Australia’s beaches are phenomenal as is the overall natural beauty. I also love Japan because it’s so utterly different to any place I’d been before. Make sense?

Exactly. When I fist went to Japan in 2001 Mom would tell people, “What did I do when I graduated? I went around the corner.”

We’re lucky to have these opportunities and to realise we have them.

I am thrilled to live in a time when such amazing trips are possible. I have seen such wonders in my own brief travels, that I hug myself with delight and smile for hours on end, just reliving the best moments.

Why ask “Why travel?” The hard question to answer is “Why on earth not?”
