Yes, that makes perfectly sense. Each place really is special in its own way.

[...] A comment from Erica on my Travel: About page got me thinking again… I tried to answer it in a commen, but then I realised there was so much more to it than that. It’s so hard to choose a favorite because places stick to you for so many different reasons. Somehow, I’ve managed to narrow it to a top three: [...]

Erica, you know that's a question that I've found impossible to answer because I like places for different reasons. It's almost impossible to top Europe for history, but Australia's beaches are phenomenal as is the overall natural beauty. I also love Japan because it's so utterly different to any place I'd been before. Make sense?

You seem to have made some interesting travels so far. Japan Round surely sounds like a great trip! I do have one question... of all the places you've been travelling to, what is your
favourite(s)?

Exactly. When I fist went to Japan in 2001 Mom would tell people, "What did I do when I graduated? I went around the corner."

We're lucky to have these opportunities and to realise we have them.

I am thrilled to live in a time when such amazing trips are possible. I have seen such wonders in my own brief travels, that I hug myself with delight and smile for hours on end, just reliving the best moments.

Why ask "Why travel?" The hard question to answer is "Why on earth not?"
